Hello, Alex this article particularly resonates with me. As someone who was born in the internet age, this article made me realize that I truthfully rarely have complete silence. I find I have an incredibly difficult time switching off my mind and having complete silence. Is there anything you suggest to try and shut off my mind a bit and work to embrace silence a bit more?
I’m not sure the goal should be to try and silence the thoughts in your head, at least not right away. (And I’m sure there are some meditation techniques that could help with that.)
Instead, think about cutting out external noise to sit with all those thoughts going through your head. Notice them, acknowledge them, and evaluate what they are.
You might be surprised what new connections and ideas can come from this.

Thanks for your comment, Aiden.
