Takeaway: Your habits matter. Sticking to your values matter. Showing up even when you don’t feel like it matters.
It had been a long day sitting in the emergency room for nearly 10 hours.
My first meal of the day wasn’t until 8pm.
It was a physically and emotionally taxing day. One of the last things I wanted was to get to the gym.
The only thing I wanted less was the feeling of having skipped. So I showed up, knowing the workout would be trash.
And it was. But nevertheless, I walked out of the gym at close to 10pm feeling accomplished.
Your habits matter. Sticking to your values matter. Showing up even when you don’t feel like it matters.
You’re tired, you’re stressed, you’ve got a million things to juggle.
And you’ve still got more in you. I promise.

P.S. My girlfriend needed emergency gallbladder removal surgery. She’s fine now, resting at home and enjoying the extra time off work.
Go make it a great week.
