Takeaway: Your reality is based on the stories your brain writes about what’s happening around you. Fortunately, you can learn to control these narratives and write better stories for a more positive outlook.
Your reality is based on how you perceive the world around you.Â
The world is full of stimuli, but it's how your brain interprets this data that you begin to craft a story in your head. That story is your world.Â
The negative feelings you suffer, anxiety, depression, sadness, are all mostly products of those stories you create.
If things aren't going your way and you begin to tell yourself the world is falling apart, guess what?
Your world does begin to fall apart. Â
There is good news: You can train your brain to tell different stories.Â
And this means you have the power to change those stories, and thus, change your reality.Â
