The Truth About Why People Get Scammed
Takeaway: I’ve been doing more exploring of the other creators and writers on the Substack platform (where Meaningfully Mundane is hosted), and stumbled upon this interesting take on why people get scammed.
The thought that most jumped out to me (and the reason I decided to included the article this week:
“…sometimes you’re not even getting scammed for money. You’re getting scammed for your belief. Confirmation bias makes you easy to scam.

And that doesn’t even involve the forty-five extra minutes it took me to setup the lighting, cameras, and other tech to move the operation from my home office to my living room. (Why, you ask? Because I wanted it to feel more welcoming and less stuffy. Worth it.)
