Takeaway: Ummm a delicious Thin Mint frozen treat. Need I say more?
If you follow me on social media then you know I recently acquired a Ninja Creami.
If you don’t know what that is, imagine a contraption that turns anything into ice cream.
I went live on my social platforms to try my first recipe, and the video above shows how it turned out.
Thin Mint Cookie Protein Ice Cream
I’ll share this particular recipe with you below.
*One caveat: I have a Creami deluxe and my “pint” container is a little larger than normal. Some of the quantities may need to be adjusted accordingly.
Ingredients:
17.5 oz (1 1/2) Fairlife Nutrition Plan Chocolate Protein Shake
6-8g sugar-free chocolate instant pudding mix
5-7g Black cocoa powder (This is different than regular cocoa powder.)
1 dash of Simply Organic peppermint extract (The kind of peppermint extract also changes the flavor. This is the best in my opinion.)
2 tbsp almond milk
4 Mint Oreo Thins (can sub for Thin Mint cookies)
Directions:
With a blender or hand frother mix the protein shake, pudding mix, cocoa powder, and peppermint extract together to form a consistent mixture. Pour into your Creami pint and freeze 24 hours.
After your mixture is frozen, pop into your Creami machine and use the “lite ice cream” setting. It will likely come out like powder. Make a small opening in the middle with a spoon, and pour in the almond milk. Return to the machine and use the “re-spin” setting.
After it re-spins, remove and scrape the sides with a spoon. Repeat this re-spin/scrape-the-sides process until it achieves your desired consistency.
Once you’ve achieved the right consistency, make another hole in the center, add the Oreo thins, and return to the machine on the “mix-in” setting.
Enjoy your delicious protein treat!
