You don’t have to give up joy to live a healthy life.
Saturday morning, I woke up, poured a cup of coffee, and sat in the recliner in my office—computer on my lap, warm mug in hand.
I spent a couple hours working on my newsletter and some client programs.
Then I ate breakfast—the same thing I have every day: Greek yogurt, two bananas, and chocolate chips—before heading to the gym.
At 1pm, I met friends for lunch. We sat outside by the water. I already knew what I was ordering because I checked the menu ahead of time.
Later, once my girlfriend got out of work, we went for a walk on the beach and soaked up the sun.
Dinner? It was the usual—Costco boneless chicken bites tossed in sugar-free BBQ sauce, with green beans.
White Lotus while we eat. Then off to dance with friends.
I got less sleep than I should.
But the memories will be worth it.
Living a healthy lifestyle doesn’t mean being perfect.
It doesn’t mean being a robot.
And it definitely doesn’t mean you can't enjoy life.
This day was built around fun—but also around routine.
And those don’t have to be opposites.
Routine is what makes the fun possible.
So stop fighting the changes you need to make because you’re afraid of losing something.
You’re not losing anything.
You’re gaining everything.
