The Weight of Inaction: Why Doing Nothing About Your Weight Is Making You Gain More
Mindset Monday
Takeaway: Life is not static. Action or inaction. Happiness or unhappiness. You still make a choice when you make no choice.
If you have a goal to lose 20, 30, or 40+ pounds, then you might be feeling overwhelmed by how long the journey seems.
This can be enough to push you into paralysis. A state of inaction where you’re unhappy with how things are but feel trapped to see it improved.
Flip the problem.
Instead of thinking of everything that is required to reach your goal—the effort, time, and commitment—think about what will happen if nothing changes.
What a lot of people fail to realize is that something is going to change no matter what. Life is not static.
Doing nothing doesn’t keep things the same, it allows time for them to get worse; for you to grow even more unhappy with your circumstances.
Action or inaction. Happiness or unhappiness. You still make a choice when you make no choice.
