“The Evolution of Trust” [Interactive Game]
Takeaway: This cool interactive game walks you through basic concepts around competition, cooperation, and the current widespread climate of distrust. Worth the time to play.
If you don’t want to play for yourself, here are the lessons I took from it:
Trust evolves from repeat interactions. The more interactions you have with the same people, the more likely trust can be built.
You must be operating under “non-zero-sum” assumptions, meaning that everyone can win together. (zero-sum means that one person must lose in order for someone to win.)
Miscommunications occur, and forgiveness will allow trust to continue after a misstep. Give people the benefit of the doubt, but don’t be naive. When someone shows repeated damaging behavior, they are showing their true colors. Listen to them.
Keep the big picture in mind. In the short term, being an a**hat gives you the advantage. But over the course of enough interactions, you quickly lose that advantage to your detriment.

“Feel Like You’re Always The Black Sheep? Here’s Why That Might Be A Strength”
Takeaway: Most people prefer to be around folks who are similar to them. This leads to everyone thinking exactly the same way. It risks boxing in the group to the shared assumptions and level of knowledge of the whole. Black sheeps, members of the group who come from an outsider perspective, can inject new ideas and fresh insight. Sometimes being the odd-one out might be your biggest selling point.
Just For Your Curiosity:
Takeaway: Some voice actors take all the risks of stunt doubles—putting their voices on the line for our entertainment.
“I Lived The #VanLife. It Wasn’t Pretty”
Takeaway: I think we all have romantic thoughts about the freedom of escaping our day-to-day lives in a decked-out van traveling the country’s most serene landscapes. Fortunately, someone already did that to help us keep that fantasy in our head, probably where it belongs.
