Takeaway: It’s important to predict and plan, but occasionally go without a plan. Give serendipity the chance to enter your life.
Much of my career success is due to my ability to think long-term and anticipate outcomes. I love to maintain as much control over circumstances as I can.
I meticulously plan and predict. Some of my choices seem unusual, because to an onlooker thinking just one move ahead it probably doesn’t make sense.
When you expand ten moves ahead, however, suddenly the plan becomes clear.
Recent experiences have taught me that to always live life this way, based on predictions and expectations, can quickly steal the magic of serendipity.
It’s important to predict and plan, but occasionally go without a plan. Give serendipity the chance to enter your life.
Save room for the magic too.
