Lately, I’ve been thinking a lot about the concept of closure.
End-of-life kind of closure.
It dawned on me that what’s more frightening than death, is death without closure.
Final goodbyes to the people you love. Last moments of embrace, laughter, and above all, to assure them everything is going to be ok.
But closure doesn’t just apply to your relationships.
Closure on a life well lived.
Each milestone attained, every goal achieved—every adventure, story, memory—each of these moments is also a chance at closure.
Closure with yourself.
And some could argue it doesn’t matter. Once you’re gone, you’re gone. But I can’t help but feel that, in those final moments, closure is all that matters.
Closure isn’t something you wait for, it’s something you build. It’s entangled in the fabric of your actions. You build closure every day that you choose to make the most of your precious time.
Make the most of your precious time.
Live and love well, friends.
