Enjoy this week’s curated round-up of articles, podcasts, and more from the web to help you live a healthier, happier life.
Announcement: We’ve made some small changes to the newsletter!
As we continue to evolve, we’ve now separated Meaningfully Mundane into three separate sections:
Meaningfully Mundane: This is the main newsletter that will include the Mindset Monday insights as well as the Article Round-Up each week. Occasionally, you’ll see deep dive articles on topics not directly related to exercise and nutrition.
Meaningful Moments: This is the weekly photography post that is sent every Thursday.
*New* Meaningful Movement: This section of the newsletter will be specifically geared toward all health and fitness advice, including freebies and offerings we have as part of the A-Team Fitness coaching brand. This section will contain the fitness fortunes segment as well as reader questions.
Note that you can subscribe and unsubscribe to these sections individually if you prefer to see more or less of any of these posts.
Our hope is that these changes give our community more control over receiving only the content covering topics that interest them.
Featured Thoughts - Late Night Eating
Takeaway: Lately, I’ve been eating protein waffles after dance, sometimes as late as 1-2am. This breaks every rule you’ve heard about late-night eating. Will it turn to fat? Watch the above video to hear what I have to say on the topic.
The clip is pulled from a recording of our free weekly virtual workouts. If you want more nuggets like this and a great workout from home, join us every Saturday at 9am EST.

Takeaway: Level up your kitchen game with these helpful tips.
Funny Story: While visiting London for NYE 2022, I was at a house party with people I barely knew. I opted to make simple syrup from scratch because I was going to introduce them to the lemon drop martini.
They didn’t understand the concept of simple syrup, so they explained it to their friends as, “making sugar.” The looks I got as I proceeded to pour sugar into a pot to make more sugar…
They thought I was crazy, until they tried the lemon drop martini. Then they thought I was a wizard.
This Shift Will Eliminate Food Guilt
Takeaway: The idea of categorizing foods as good or bad is overly simplistic and unhelpful. Instead, considering foods as helpful or unhelpful based on your current goals and circumstances provides a more nuanced and beneficial approach.
This perspective not only aids in making better food choices but also reduces guilt and stress around eating.
Takeaway: Being offended or made to feel inferior is not something others can do without your permission. Learning what role you play can mean the difference between a fearless, bold life and one spent hiding in the shadows.
P.S. I’ve had two coffee chats since sharing the concept, and both left me feeling more energized and connected to members of our community. I’ve had conversations about work, career, dance, family, and travel.
I’d love to chat and get to know you better too. Book a coffee chat here.
(These coffee chats are one on one calls, where you and I can talk about anything and everything.)
I really enjoyed our Chat. I look forward to chatting again with you. How soon is too soon?
